 The national symbol of india is the endangered bengal tiger..

Thanks to conservation efforts, the population of Bengal tiger has been slowly increasing - from around 1,800 tigers in 2010, there is an estimated 3,000, as of 2018.

Hinduism or Sanatan Dharma is the oldest religion of the world. According to  Surya Siddhanta (A 2 million year old book), Sanatan Dharma started about 2 million years ago.. And some says that it is 151.52 Trillion years (50 Bramha Years) Old. And the Kalyuga started on midnight of 18th February, BCE 3102..  About 1/6th population of World follow Hinduism. And it is estimated that about 8 Lakh Hindus are converted to other religion every year.

Over 30 lakhs soldiers served for the British Empire.  At least 38 soldiers received Victoria Cross or the George Cross.

At over 5000 years old, varanasi is the world's oldest inhabited places on earth..
It is the oldest inhabited city on earth.. It is one of the holiest cities for Hindus. It is said that Varanasi was founded by Lord Shiva. Its old name was Benaras. Over 2,000 temples including Kashi Vishwanath Temple deicated to Lord Shiva are situated here. Holy Ganga flows from here.
